Job DescriptionBiomedical Field Installations Technician (hospital imaging devices): Does the idea of earning a living while regularly traveling to unique and interesting places sound appealing? We are currently looking to expand our field installations team and the following is a snapshot of how a medical equipment installer contributes to our organization's success:
· You will begin in a training position and accompanied by an experienced lead installer, you will learn all aspects and acquire hands-on experience for installing medical imaging devices in medical facilities (X-Ray, MRI, CT).
· You will learn to handle rigging and other pre-installations activities.
· You will become familiar and comfortable with related paperwork handling and interacting with our customers.
· You will develop a sense of problem solving for various situations, quality assurance and effective communication on site.
Prior relevant work experience within a mechanical environment or a true passion for equipment assembly or repair work, high level of technical precision, ability to read and comprehend work instructions and complex technical manuals in English, good computer skills, the ability to work intermittent periods during which physical exertion is required, the ability to work irregular work schedules and travel extensively. Post high school education incl. technical or vocational college or training is very desired.

Additional Notes from Client: We perform electrical and mechanical installations services for medical equipment manufacturers. Our teams travel to hospital sites on a weekly basis (nationwide so this is a heavy traveling job) to rig and install imaging devices (CT, MRI, X-Ray). Ideally we look for individuals who have that type of experience but it is difficult to find these unless we look at our direct competitors; this is a special skill. Outside of that candidate pool, we look for individuals with heavy equipment installations experience or carpenter/electrician type of backgrounds. Field service or biomed engineers do not work out for this job as this is a very different area. We strictly perform the mechanical installations part.
